In what came as another low blow to defective medication victims across the U.S., Bayer Pharmaceuticals is now disputing the findings that defective medications Yaz and Yasmin can result in a much higher risk of blood clots than other contraceptives. In a recent press release, Bayer has indicated that the studies performed by the British Medical Journal (BMJ) could not be considered fact, and that their procedures and databases used resulted in unreliable results. Bayer then proceeded to release their own studies which showed that the risk associated with Yaz and Yasmin could be compared to that of other oral contraceptives.
