Judge drops lawsuit over Oregon chimp attack

BEND, Ore. (AP) -- A judge dismissed a lawsuit filed by a woman who lost part of her thumb in a chimpanzee attack during her internship at a Central Oregon animal sanctuary. Deschutes County Judge A. Michael Adler ruled that Kristen Howard relinquished her right to sue when she signed a release of liability before starting the internship at Chimps Inc.
