Toll rises to 41 dead, driver blamed in Ecuador bus crash

Quito - The death toll in a weekend bus accident has risen to 41 with 13 injured, Ecuadoran police said Monday. The bus left no brake marks when it went off a curve on a mountain highway Sunday near Laguna de Yambo, about 100 kilometres south of Quito, and plunged 20 metres into a ravine.
