
Man critically injured in New York motorcycle accidentby Graham Allchurch, September 15th, 2011 A man from Canastota, New York, was listed in critical condition on Wednesday, September 14, after the motorcycle he was riding on allegedly collided with a pickup truck in Lenox, New York, according to the Observer-Dispatch. Donald Harp, 16, was driving his pickup northbound on Route 13 when he turned into a parking lot, allegedly crossing paths with 47-year-old Greg Risley while he was riding his motorcycle. Harp was given a citation for failing to yield to right-of-way on a left turn, and is set to appear in court on a later date, the media outlet stated. According to the New York Department of Motor Vehicles, there were 5,150 motorcycle accidents within the state in 2009, resulting in 152 fatalities.
