New Hampshire motorcycle crash sends one person to hospital

On Thursday evening, October 20, one person was critically injured in a motorcycle accident involving another vehicle on Route 102 in Hudson, New Hampshire, according to the Nashua Telegraph.

The news source states that local police and firefighters were summoned to the Derry Road area at about 7 p.m. after reports of the crash came in. Police lieutenant Kevin DiNapoli said the crash sent one person to the hospital, who was transported by helicopter.

The Hudson Police Department's accident reconstruction team blocked Route 102 from Page Road to West Road for more than an hour as they worked to recreate the crash in an effort to determine if either motorist was at fault. Investigators say that area of the road is mostly straight, although it does dip slightly before an uphill approach toward a set of traffic lights, according to the media outlet.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, motorcycle crash-related deaths cost the people of New Hampshire about $143 million each year, of which roughly $2 million is paid in medical expenses.

Motorcycle crash victims often contact a motorcycle accident lawyer after an incident, as legal options are often available.
