According to the news source, the plane crashed into a soybean field outside the city. The Federal Aviation Administration was called to conduct an investigation but has not released the names of the two victims. However, the plane was determined to be registered to Bremer Roland Augustus, of Jacksonville. Flight logs indicate that the plane took off from Jacksonville Executive at Craig Airport at about 8:45 a.m. on Sunday, October 23, and was supposed to land in North Carolina at 10:45 a.m. However, reports of the crash first came in at about 11 a.m., according to the media outlet. "It was just flying around in the air. It was spitting and sputtering like it was starving for fuel," said Michael Caudill, who witnessed the accident. According to the National Transportation Safety Board, there have been 30 fatal civil aviation plane crashes through August, 2011.
