Two motorcyclist killed in Ohio roadway crashby Guy Kilty, February 1st, 2012 Two men were killed and one was injured in a fiery motorcycle crash on Tuesday, January 31, in New Richmond, Ohio, according to reports from the Ohio State Highway Patrol. CBS affiliate WKRC reports that three men were riding their motorcycles on U.S. Route 52 when 39-year-old James Hensley allegedly failed to anticipate the tightness of a curve, went left of the center line, and struck a cement truck . The truck, driven by Carl Watson, 58, flipped and struck 56-year-old Daniel Frazee's motorcycle, whose bike then hit 53-year-old Larry Gillinger while he was riding. Hensley and Frazee were pronounced dead at the scene by emergency officials, while Gillinger suffered severe burns and was rushed to University Hospital, where he is currently listed in critical condition. State troopers told the news source Hensley and Gillinger were wearing helmets at the time of the crash, but Frazee was not. Alcohol does not appear to have been a factor in the accident. According to the Ohio Department of Public Safety, 92 percent of motorcyclists involved in crashes are self-taught, indicating a need for more motorcycle riding training. Those who have been injured in a similar incident may benefit from contacting a motorcycle accident lawyer, as legal recourse may be available.
