Young boy dies in tragic Connecticut bicycle accidentby Graham Allchurch, October 17th, 2011 An 8-year-old, whom his father remembers as "beautiful, wonderful" and "full of life," was killed after flipping over his handle bars while riding on his bicycle in the street near his house, the Hartford Courant reports. According to the news source, Aidin-Paul Hannan of Somers, Connecticut, had to be rushed to BayState Medical Center in Springfield at about 5 p.m. after his father found him on the street, unresponsive. Now, police are investigating whether a vehicle may have been involved in the accident. According to police spokeswoman Trooper Kelly Grant, the initial report states the boy was struck by a car, but further analysis of the accident has yet to verify the report. "I have no regrets. I hugged and kissed him as much as I could, so I can't say I didn't love him enough. He was taken from us too soon," the boy's father told the new source. According to the Bicycling Information Organization, 630 bicyclists lost their lives in crashes with motor vehicles in 2009, representing 2 percent of all traffic fatalities in the nation. Those who have been affected by a bicycle crash may want to contact a bicycle accident lawyer, as legal options may be available.
